Friends of the Missions

Francisco Rivera

Francisco is a retired Sergeant Major from the United States Army.  He is married to Dr. Ana Rivera, a retired Colonel and Dental Officer who accompanies him on missions.

Francisco has participated in numerous missions with Friends of the Missions in Honduras and Peru.  In addition, he organized and conducted several fund-raising events to support the Honduras missions.  He has volunteered at the Wildflower Health Clinic in Saint Augustine and supported several Catholics charities events as a member of the San Sebastian Catholic Church.

Francisco has held numerous leadership positions throughout his military career.  He is bilingual (speaks fluent Spanish and English), a needed attribute and capability when serving hispanic missionary programs.  He is dedicated to his personal calling as a lay missionary.

Francsico replaces Dr Santiago Rosado as Executive Director for Friends of the Missions.  Dr Rosado is deeply engaged in the Diocese of St Augustine, FL, developing and administering the Diocese Deaconship Program.  Dr Rosado will remain as Medical Director for Friends of the Missions.
